I have had it for around 20 years. It's the best provider for Alaska IMO. You get good service in all the ports and at several places at sea where there are nearby towers. If you leave your cell on, you can receive calls but it is expensive. I called from the Star Princess in Alaska a few weeks ago (while at sea) and was charged $22 for a 9 minute call. I was charged $4.14 for a 6 minute call in Victoria. T-Mobile does not work, in any real sense of the word, in Alaska. They have a roaming agreements with GCI and AT&T, but you have to pay extra for "domestic roaming" and it's really expensive, like $15 for a 50mb data pass.
