OK, then something isn't quite right. When my JL is cruising (with eTorque) my voltage shows 14.2 as should. The charging voltage varies dependent on the outside temps. As it get warmer, the voltage will drop down from 14.4 to 14.0. When its colder, 40F and below, it tends to stay at 14.4v. Working as intended. It should be right around 14 when running. Fully charged battery should be 12.6 with engine off. If it's cranking over longer before it starts, the fuel pump is probably leaking down as it sits. Going to connect a SmittyBilt Arctic Fridge which has a physical toggle switch that enables low voltage detection so it cuts itself off prior to the battery getting so low the engine cannot turn over. Your JL has it. When coasting and foot off the pedal, the generator charges the 48V battery. This applies to vehicles with eTorque. My jeep does not have eTorque. I have the 2.0 ('19) with the mild hybrid system btw. In my case the starting EVIC displayed voltage is around 13.0-13.5 and after about 30-45 mins of driving it drops to 12.7-12.9 and pretty much stays there while running down the road or idle without allowing ESS to kick in which case it displays the actual ESS battery voltage, the only time I see my EVIC voltage go over 14 is on deceleration or …I installed an aftermarket solar panel to my Jeep and it has helped (See attached picture). Normally I would start out the week with full charge of 12.8V + and usually by the following Saturday the Jeeps battery voltage would be down to 12.2 to 12.3V.
