Anglers have reported catching coho while mooching or trolling near Crafton Island, Valdez Arm, and Pigot Bay. Coho salmon fishing in Valdez has been good over the last week and with some tide cycles producing limits.

 
There are also roads into Valdez from Anchorage, Tok and Fairbanks.
